UPDATE: Pedestrian dies after being hit by driver on Fort Blvd in central El Paso
EL PASO, TX — A Juarez woman has died following a pedestrian crash late last Friday, July 22, in El Paso’s Summit Place neighborhood, reports KTSM.
The fatal incident occurred at the intersection of Fort Boulevard and North Piedras Street, near Lulú’s Cafe.
According to Special Traffic Investigators (STI) with the El Paso Police Department, the woman was walking westbound on Fort Boulevard. As she crossed North Piedras Street, she was struck by a Toyota Tacoma turning left onto Piedras from Fort Boulevard.
Medics rushed the victim to a local hospital where she later died.
The male driver of the Tacoma stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
