Passenger killed in multi-vehicle wreck near West Odessa

ECTOR COUNTY, TX — A 23-year-old Odessa woman died Sunday afternoon after a rollover crash involving multiple vehicles near West Odessa, reports YourBasin.

The fatal collision occurred at North Timberline Avenue and West University Boulevard, shortly before 3:51 p.m.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2017 Nissan Rogue was heading southbound on Timberline Avenue when its driver ran a stop sign at the intersection. Moments later, the Nissan struck a GMC Sierra, causing the Sierra to roll and strike a vehicle traveling eastbound on West University.

The victim, who was a passenger in the Sierra, died from her injuries at the scene. Officials said she was not wearing a seat belt during the accident.

At this time, no pending charges or citations have been reported.

An investigation remains underway.
