One critically injured in pedestrian crash at NW El Paso intersection

EL PASO, TX — One person was hospitalized Monday night after a pedestrian collision in northwest El Paso’s Crestmont neighborhood, reports CBS4Local.

The incident took place at the intersection of Shadow Mountain Drive and North Mesa Street, near a shopping center. El Paso Police and El Paso Fire crews first received the call at around 9:41 p.m.

It was unclear what led up to the crash, but a pickup truck with visible damage and one person with their hands on their head were spotted at the scene.

One person suffered life-threatening injuries, but authorities have not confirmed whether the patient was the pedestrian.

As of this writing, no pending charges have been reported.
