Motorcyclist dies after multi-vehicle wreck in NW El Paso
EL PASO, TX — A 28-year-old man died Saturday morning in a motorcycle crash involving a driver who failed to yield near northwest El Paso, according to CBS4Local.
El Paso Police responded to the scene in the 3900 block of Doniphan Drive.
An early investigation shows the motorcyclist was westbound on the road near Sunland Park Boulevard. As he neared the intersection, a Ford F-150 pickup truck turned from Sunland Park onto Doniphan Drive.
Officials said the motorcyclist clipped the front of the pickup, which caused him to hit a 2018 Lexus at the red light. That crash caused the rider to eject from his bike and strike a 2019 Volkswagen behind the Lexus.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. Investigators said he was wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck.
No pending charges or citations have been reported at this time. An investigation remains ongoing.
