Driver dies after crash with semi near I-10 onramp in Anthony

EL PASO COUNTY, TX — A man died early Wednesday morning after a two-vehicle collision near an Interstate 10 entrance ramp in east Anthony, reports KVIA.

The fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Antonio Street and Wildcat Drive shortly before 6:00 a.m.

Details are limited, but Anthony Police said the man was driving a vehicle that hit a semi-trailer. He was killed in the crash.

No injuries to the semi driver were reported.

The area was projected to stay closed for multiple hours, though traffic on I-10 was not impacted.

An investigation remains ongoing, but police suspect speed was a factor in the wreck.
