DPS IDs two drivers involved in Ector Co. fatal crash

ECTOR COUNTY, TX – Texas DPS has released more information regarding Sunday’s fatal wrong-way crash

The collision occurred around 7 a.m. on State Loop 338 in Odessa. The driver of one vehicle was traveling when for reasons unknown, crossed into the southbound lanes, Big Spring Herald reported. 

The second vehicle tried to prevent getting struck but got hit by the first vehicle’s driver. 

The driver of the first vehicle was identified as 26-year-old Alondra Celesta Perez. 

Officials said the driver of the second vehicle was 51-year-old Felipe Quinones-Baeza. 

Quinones-Baeza sustained unspecified injuries and was treated at the scene. 

Celesta Perez was unharmed. 

The passenger from the second vehicle was identified as 47-year-old Aracelli Villa, who was hospitalized and gave in to fatal injuries.
